We think we've been "sent" to help/rescue/hear a specific person when God's plan all along was for us to reach the least likely person in the situation. He's revealed that to me through CASA and dealing with children and their abusive families. Usually, it's the least lovely that we are called to love. Tough, but amazing stuff! So proud of you Hilary! <3Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116585303804523937.post-78751621266415440742012-03-23T08:24:33.477-05:002012-03-23T08:24:33.477-05:00Wow Hilary, what a powerful story. My heart ...I cannot thank you enough for this post. My heart broke as i thought about your experiences that day, the hurting children. My heart was hopeful as the connection God allowed you and G to develop, how she knew you loved her, valued her, and took the time to listen to her b/c that is how God feels about her. My heart became angry too as the guard harassed and persisted, and my eyes welled up with tears in understanding your anger at this woman. "We love because He first loved us" was the verse that continued to come to mind as I read the rest of your God-breathed words of compassion and understanding to this woman, as God allowed you to look at her through His eyes. I pray that God changes this guard, and that she never lays a hand on these children in anger. I will continue to pray for the guard and your precious young friend G.A&Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02741908778615208929noreply@blogger.com
